Professor Charles C. Jalloh was one of only 32 faculty from across the University to be honored as an FIU Top Scholar for 2015. He received the award on Friday, April 24, 2015, during an evening reception hosted at the Ronald Reagan Presidential House by FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg and Provost Kenneth Furton. The annual award celebrates the awardee’s accomplishments in research as well as their dedication to excellence in helping achieve FIU’s scholarly mission. Professor Jalloh was commended for his successful nomination (one of only three from across the nation) by the United States Branch of the International Law Association (ILA) to the prestigious London-based ILA’s first ever Committee on Complementarity in International Criminal Law. The ILA is the pre-eminent professional group of international lawyers for the development and restatement of international law.
