How to Apply
Completed applications for the 2017-2018 academic year will be considered on a rolling basis beginning October 1, 2016. The deadline for submission of a completed application has been extended to April 28, 2017
Your application to our FIU LL.M. is just two steps away:
Second, you need to upload all the required documents for evaluation (proof of foreign law degree, transcripts, proof of English proficiency, curriculum vitae, personal statement) directly to LSAC, and provide information about two individuals who will write letters of recommendation on your behalf.
Once your application is complete, LSAC will transmit it directly to us, and our Admissions Committee will communicate with you directly regarding their decision. In order to make the process easier, here is a printable checklist of the steps and requirements.
Important information for Foreign Applicants: Full-Time Enrollment Requirement for international students
If you are going to apply for an F1 visa to study for your LL.M., please inform us. All international students with F1 visa, MUST register FULL TIME or will fall out of status and become ineligible for immigration benefits. For Fall and Spring Semesters they will have to take a minimum of nine (9) graduate credit hours each semester.
Students applying for an F-1 visa are required to show that they have sufficient funds to provide for their educational, living and personal expenses to be issued the necessary I-20 document for a student visa. For further information please refer to ISSS and scroll down, as well as ISSS FAQ
