Danilo Knijnik

Danilo Knijnik is Professor of Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law of  Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil. He will be attending FIU College of Law as a Courtesy Visiting Scholar from December 18, 2018 to February 16, 2019.

His visit is with the purpose of performing legal research on Criminal Law, White Collar Crimes and the money laundering process.

Francesco Della Rocca

Francesco Della Rocca is Adjunct Professor teaching Consumer Law at Universita degli studi di Roma Tre, Italy, Department of Business Economics. His research is on Economic and Consumer Law. He will be attending FIU as a courtesy visiting researcher from October 17, 2018 to May 16, 2019.

Maria Mercedes van der Ree

Maria Mercedes van der Ree is PhD candidate at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja, Spain and she will be researching for her doctoral thesis which is a comparative study of religious liberty under Peruvian law and the United States First Amendment Rights

She actually resides in Lima, Peru and at this time she holds the position of Defender of the Bond, which is a special designation by the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura of the Vatican. Maria has a Master degree in Canonical Marriage Law and a Master of Arts in Theology; also she has a Master in Education and a Master in International Relations. Her lawyer’s degree is from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, Caracas, Venezuela. She will be visiting from January 28 through April 17, 2019.
