Five FIU Law Alumni, Stephanie Aycart, Melisa Peña,  have been named finalists for the Dade County Bar Association’s Legal Luminary Awards.

Voting ends on July 22, 2016. Voting rules as provided by Dade County Bar Association are provided below and can be found by clicking here.

Alumna, Melisa Peña ’11 noted: “I am extremely honored and humbled to have been nominated by my peers in the immigration category for the Dade County Bar Association Legal Luminaries for 2016.  The other two nominees in this category are both board certified experts that have a combined experience of over 44 years. It is a beautiful thing when your colleagues recognize your passion and determination.  I would love to receive the support of the FIU alumni with their votes. Each vote counts.”

Based on nominations received, three finalists in each category have been selected. Members in Good Standing with the Florida Bar may cast one (1) vote. In the event of multiple votes by one individual, the first vote will be the only vote to count. Winners in each category will be determined based upon the number of valid votes received for that category. The voting process will end on Friday, July 22, 2016. You may vote in as many or few categories as you wish. Your ballot becomes official when you select ‘submit’ at the bottom of the form.
