In early October, FIU Law, the Miami-Florida European Union Center of Excellence and the Consulate General of Italy welcomed the European Consuls General in Miami, the US Coordination Washington Team of the British NGO Reprieve and FIU faculty experts to discuss European and international perspectives on capital punishment during World Day Against the Death Penalty.
FIU Law Professor Megan A. Fairlie served as moderator and FIU Law Professors Stephen K. Harper and Noah Weisbord were panelists along with European consuls representing Italy, Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Britain.
