FIU Law is proud to announce  five new first generation scholarships sponsored by leading local law firms. Each scholarship will provide student recipients the flexibility and ability to pursue their dreams, and graduate with less student debt.

The newest supporters of FIU Law’s first generation scholarship fund include DLD Lawyers, Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, Lowy & Cook P.A., The Reyes Law Firm and an Anonymous donor. Each firms has committed to providing funding that, when matched by FIU Law, will provide nearly full scholarships for five students.

“We are grateful for the support and the commitment the local legal community continues to show FIU Law,” Dean R. Alexander Acosta shared. “Every scholarship helps us provide another qualified student the opportunity to reach their goals, and graduate with the flexibility to follow their dreams.”

Last year, FIU Law’s first generation fund awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships.  More than 25 firms and individuals have committed to this program since it was established in 2012.
