Congratulations to recent FIU College of Law graduate, Alan Persaud, for winning the 2018-2019 Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section Scholarship!

Alan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, summa cum laude, from the Florida International University Landon Undergraduate School of Business. Alan then graduated from Florida International University with a joint Juris Doctorate and International Master of Business Administration degree, this past spring.

During his time at the FIU College of Law, Alan was the Vice President of the Employment and Labor Law Society, FIU Law Student Ambassador, and Student Bar Association Professional Development Committee Chair. He also served on the FIU Law Review, where he was recognized with the Outstanding Symposium Contribution Award and Outstanding Contribution to FIU Law Review Award. The FIU Chapman Graduate School of Business also presented Alan with the 2018 International MBA Program Exceptional Leadership Award. While completing his J.D./M.B.A. degree, Alan served as a Global Labor and Employment Law Clerk at Ryder System, Inc. and Honors Legal Intern at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. During his last semester of law school, Alan worked as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Beth Bloom of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

In Fall 2019, Alan will be joining the Lydecker Diaz Labor and Employment group, at the firm’s Miami office.
