Professor Margaret Brenan Correoso joined the faculty of FIU College of Law as a Visiting Professor in the Legal Skills and Values Department in 2016, and in 2017, as an associate professor.

Prior to working at FIU, Professor Correoso worked at the Office of the Attorney General in the Miami Criminal Appeals division, clerked for the Honorable Rodolfo Sorondo, and the Honorable David M. Gersten at the Third District Court of Appeal, and was a partner at the Law Firm, Woodbury, Santiago & Correoso, P.A., specializing in appeals and commercial litigation. Professor Correoso has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Professor Correoso enjoys coaching several of FIU’s Moot Court teams, including the Jessup International Moot Court team, who in 2018, finished as a finalist in the Regional rounds and made FIU’s first appearance at the International Rounds.

In her free time, Professor Correoso enjoys running marathons, traveling, attending football and soccer games, and spending time with her husband and three children.
