Jurisdictional Surveys
Jurisdictional Surveys is a new tool on Westlaw Edge which retrieves customized and relevant compilations of laws across all United States jurisdictions on virtually any topic to expedite the creation of a survey.
This feature can be accessed via the Tools tab, Statutes & Court rules page, the toolbar on a statute document, or the widget in the What’s New tray.

- Jurisdictional Surveys will allow researchers to quickly create a customized and relevant compilation of laws across all U.S. jurisdictions by citation, topic, or index term.
- With Jurisdictional Surveys, the most difficult work is done to get users to the correct starting point, so they can focus on identifying and analyzing statutory variances and similarities
WestSearch Plus – Question Answering (Law Summaries) Expansion
- Question Answering/Law Summaries in WestSearch Plus is being expanded. Users will sometimes find answers to legal questions that are not in predictive type ahead. User queries must be in the form of a question to see this expansion.
Westlaw Public Records: Company Investigator Updates
New Delivery Option
- Spreadsheet format added to delivery options for the Company Investigator Family Tree
- Tree levels presented in indented hierarchy format using the spreadsheet columns for the levels and for labelling entity types
