Robert H. Foley, D.V.M., JD to Lead Alliance for Aging, Inc.

Over two hundred aging services insurance and health care professionals gathered at Jungle Island for the 25th Annual Installation and Luncheon, of the Alliance for Aging, Inc., participating in the Agency’s Silver Anniversary Celebration. Ushering in a new administration, Judge Maria M. Korvick installed Robert H Foley, D.V.M., J.D. of Islamorada as Chair of the Governing Board.

Dr. Foley brings a wealth of experience as he had served as a Board member and representative for Monroe County for the past several years and as Vice-Chairman for the past two years. “I have had intimate opportunity to appreciate the special needs of the elderly and disabled populations of Miami-Dade and Monroe County. I am excited for what the next two years will bring for the Alliance and look forward to working with Max B. Rothman, the CEO and President, the Board and committees of the Alliance.”

Incorporated in 1988, the Alliance for Aging was designated by the State of Florida in 1989 as the Area Agency on Aging for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, and funds home and community-based services that help keep people at home and out of institutional care. Through a network of providers, some of the services include: meals served in senior centers and other facilities where elders congregate; meals delivered to home-bound elders; in-home service such as personal care and homemaking for impaired elders; caregiver respite and adult day care; trips for elders needing transportation services; and more.
