The City, County, and Local Government Law Section’s of The Florida Bar has selected Second year FIU Law student Nazario Saint Louis as the recipient of their 2025 Law Student Award.
This annual award program is dedicated to fostering the next generation of local government law professionals. Nazario’s dedication to local government law and impressive contributions to the field have distinguished him among his peers.
Originally from Saint-Marc, Haiti, Nazario migrated to the United States at age 11. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and is currently pursuing his J.D. at Florida International University College of Law.
His professional roles have encompassed legal, policy, and government fields, including serving as a Land Use Paralegal with Greenberg Traurig and Regional Voter Engagement Coordinator for Engage Miami. Additionally, Nazario brings hands-on government experience from the U.S. Congress via an internship with Congresswoman Frederica Wilson’s office and through lobbying experience with Floridian Partners.
Nazario has served as legal intern with the City of Miami Beach City attorney’s office and the City of Miami City Attorney’s office. He also seats on the board of Haitian American Law Student Association (HALSA), serves as SBA career Development Chair and a member of Moot Court. After graduation, he hopes to be a municipal attorney.
