Thursday, February 18, 2021 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (New York, GMT-05:00)

Description: Covid-19 will continue to play a major role in insurance coverage trends in 2021 both here in the United States and around the world. In a landmark case over business interruption coverage, the United Kingdom Supreme Court ruled in mid-January that that insurers must pay for those companies forced to close during the country’s first pandemic lockdown. (See recent Law360 article). In the United States, close to 100 decisions to date have been issued in state and federal courts regarding business interruption loses with most being decided in favor of insurers. However, there are cases where policy holders have been able to avoid motions to dismiss. This course will explore the recent cases regarding business interruption losses and review LexisNexis materials to help you stay abreast of this issue.
