Tal Aburos ’18 published the article Uncertainties In Gerrymandering Jurisprudence Are Unfair on Law360. The article addresses how gerrymandering continues to negatively impact our republican form of government, especially for minorities seeking to vindicate their rights cast by district line drawings. As it stands, plaintiffs challenging a redistricting plan on the basis of race are left with very little recourse given the exceedingly demanding burden of proof and the close interplay between a constitutional political motivation and an unconstitutional racial motivation.
