On July 17, 2017, Dr. Marisol Florén Romero, Assistant Director for Library Services and Foreign & International Law Librarian at FIU Law Library, was a panelist for the “Cuban Law and Legal Research: A Snapshot During the Deshielo” program at the American Association of Law Libraries‘ 2017 Annual Meeting and Conference: Forgo the Status Quo in Austin, Texas. This program focused on the challenges faced by U.S. researchers in accessing and understanding Cuban legal materials and resources. Dr. Florén Romero demonstrated how to access Cuban legal materials, providing an overview of available resources and how to manage an ever-changing landscape of materials.
