The Association of Caribbean University, Research and Institutional Libraries (ACURIL) recognizes and honors Dr. Marisol Floren-Romero, FIU Law Librarian, as the Caribbean Information Professional of the Year for 2017.
ACURIL’s Caribbean Information Professional of the Year Award, recognizes and honors the individual commitment, excellence in performance, and outstanding professional achievement of an information specialist in the Caribbean, who is a member of ACURIL in any of the linguistic areas, English, French, Spanish or Dutch. ACURIL will recognize and honor Dr. Floren’s excellent work that she has been performing at FIU Law with ACURIL and other international organizations, serving as a role model in the profession. ACURIL encourages and highlights the highest performance of information professionals within the association and awards the ACURILEANA, The Medal of Excellence.
