Professor Jorge L. Esquirol will be presenting his new book at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in Brazil on December 14, 2016. Prof. Esquirol’s book, Ficções do Direito Latino-Americano, was published this year by Editora Saraiva, the main academic press in Brazil. The book critically examines the commonplace perspectives of Latin American law’s essentially European character and, at the same time, always failing nature.
The book presentation on December 14, 2016 was organized at the invitation of the USP Faculdade de Direito, the premier law school in Brazil, and will be held at 9:30 a.m. at FDUSP, Largo São Francisco 95, Auditório do 1º andar, São Paulo. The presentation of the book will be followed by comments and debate with USP Faculty Members. The event will be in Portuguese.
