Professor Eric R. Carpenter’s recent article, An Empirical Look at Commander Bias in Sexual Assault Cases, was recently featured on the Empirical Legal Studies Blog.
In this article, Prof. Carpenter measures whether military commanders treat sexual assault cases more leniently than they treat other similar cases. The abstract can be read online as part of FIU Law’s Legal Studies Research Paper Series in SSRN. This article will be published in the Berkeley Journal of Criminal Law in 2017.
