The FIU Law Evening Scholarship Fund continues to grow as alumnae Fritznie Jarbath and Melisa Peña, both from the class of 2011, add their support. Their contributions bring the new total raised to $40,000 and 16 alumni. Jarbath and Peña are principles in the JP Law Group and focus their practice on family law, immigration and civil litigation matters. Jarbeth is the immediate past president of the Haitian Lawyers Association.

The Evening Scholarship Fund was established by seven alumni who attended FIU Law as evening students. The scholarship offers award merit-based scholarships to evening students who work during law school and have at least five years post-undergraduate work experience.
