On Thursday, October 2nd FIU Law hosted “A Judge’s Perspective on Current Threats to a Fair and Impartial Judiciary.”
Panelists include Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia and president of the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ), Justice Barbara J. Pariente of the Florida Supreme Court, former Florida Supreme Court Justice Raoul G. Cantero, III and Judge Lisa Walsh of the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
This discussion is part of the NAWJ’s effort to inform voters about the role judges play in ensuring fairness and justice for all who enter the legal system. IVP was created out of response to the growing efforts by special interests to weaken the courts.
