FIU Law Dean R. Alexander Acosta presented The Justice Sandra Day O’Connor Award to H.T. Smith during the Dade County Bar Association’s and the Dade Legal Aid’s event – Over the Rainbow, which was held at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables. The event celebrated eight local jurists and counselors who exemplify the profession and who have gone ‘over the rainbow’ during their careers. Dean Acosta, along with co-presenter Gilbert Squires, presented the award to H.T. Smith for “his excellence in leadership and community enrichment.”
