2012-13 FIU Law Review Editorial Board Officially Begins its Tenure

MIAMI – Florida International University College of Law congratulates the incoming 2012-13 FIU Law Review Editorial Board. Editorial board members include: Editor-in-Chief Courtney Walter, Managing Editor Cristina Neuman, Executive Symposium Editor Erin Auble, and Executive Comments Editor Jennifer Soberal.

The FIU Law Review is a student-run organization responsible for producing a journal of scholarly legal works.  As a symposium-based law review, their issues are composed of articles addressing a particular area of the law, with its authors often participating in a live symposium before publication.

“I congratulate the new board members of the Law Review and look forward to working with them in the year ahead,” said FIU Law Dean R. Alexander Acosta.

FIU Law’s Intercultural Human Rights Moot Court Team Wins Runner-Up

FIU Law’s Board of Advocates Intercultural Human Rights Moot Court team competed at the Susan J. Ferrell Moot Court Competition on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. The competition was held at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens.

The FIU team, which included five students, Gigi Cordova (3L), Daphne Bareket (3L), Sarah Gray (3L), Kimberlee Martin (2L), and Cristina Neuman (2L) won the Runner-Up trophy. In addition, Kimberlee Martin won the Best Orator trophy. The team also finished with the Second Runner-Up Brief/Memorial award.
