Pushyamitra Veeramachaneni has been supervising, managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Florida International University College of Law Library’s Access Services Department for the last four years. She received her B.S. and LL.B. from Andhra University in India; and her M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida. Veeramachaneni also acquired post graduate diplomas in Public Relations and Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Bhanvans Institute in Bombay, India; and has completed the Legal Assistant Certificate Program at Florida International University.
Before joining the Law Library, Veeramachaneni served as the Circulation Supervisor at Florida International University’s Green Library for six years, supervising daily operations of circulation, reserves and stack maintenance. Prior to that, she worked as a Paralegal for a New York based Internet Startup Company, Ecomdata, Inc. where she processed immigration documents for employees; prepared legal documents for the company on various matters such as corporate registration, patents and trademarks; and assisted in administrative and personnel affairs. Veeramachaneni practiced Civil and Family Law in India for over three years.
Veeramachaneni is a member of the following organizations: the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL), Southeast Florida Library Information Network (SEFLIN), and South Florida Association of Law Libraries (SFALL). In addition, she has served on the Public Relations Committee of the Green Library at Florida International University.
