MIAMI (October 18, 2011) – The FIU Law Investor Advocacy Clinic team wins top spot in first-ever appearance at national securities dispute resolution negotiation competition.
The Annual Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon sponsored by St. John’s Law School and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) was held at the Hugh L. Carey Center for Dispute Resolution in New York City.
The Investor Advocacy Clinic’s team of competitors: Sanjeev Shah, Lori Eshelman, and Jennifer Lim competed against 23 other teams in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
“I am proud to congratulate our students in a superb effort. The Investor Advocacy Clinic Team prevailed over many great teams,” said Robert Savage, Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor and Investor Advocacy Clinic Director.
