June 27, 2011 (MIAMI) – FIU’s College of Law in partnership with FIU’s College of Education has launched a Math & Civics Summer Institute.

The four week program has enrolled over 30 Liberty City area students. The Math & Civics Summer Institute is the result of the great response received by an FIU Law Forum earlier this year entitled Quality Education as a Constitutional Right. “As an anchor institution in our community, FIU is committed to working with educational and community leaders to improve and increase the range of opportunities for these students,” said Dean Michelle Mason “We are excited about the program and look forward to developing a long term relationship with the students and Miami Dade County Public Schools.”
