Yordanka Valdés Delionado graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She received her J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, she was the Managing Editor of the Latino Law Review. Upon graduation, she served as a Harvard Law School, Samuel J. Heyman Fellow for Public Service. She has clerked for the Honorable Donald M. Middlebrooks and the Honorable Cecilia M. Altonaga in the Southern District of Florida. She has served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. While at the United States Attorney’s office, she conducted criminal investigations and prosecuted various federal offenses, including fraud, firearms, and narcotics violations, handled numerous jury trials in federal court, and authored appellate briefs before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She also worked on the commercial litigation team of Hunton & Williams in Miami.
