Support the FIU College of Law!

Thanks you for your interest in the FIU College of Law Office of Development & Community Relations. Committed to our mission to provide quality, affordable legal education, the Office of Development is charged with Donor Support and Community Relations.

Donor Support

The Office of Development coordinates the private fund-raising efforts of the College of Law. Support from the FIU alumni, friends and foundations provide funding to ensure the establishment or continuation of quality programs that include: student and faculty recruitment, scholarships, visiting professors, seminars and conferences, special library acquisitions, and research. Please visit our Giving Opportunities page to discover the many ways you can support the College of Law.

Alumni Affairs

The College of Law will not have its first graduating class until the Spring of 2005. With the absence of alumni to support the college, the University recognizes all FIU graduates who have obtained law degrees and have supported the college as Honorary Alumni of the College of Law. The Office of the Dean encourages all FIU graduates who have obtained law degrees to contact the Office of Development and Community Relations for important information and events.

Community Relations

The College of Law has established three Boards to assist with Community Relations efforts of the College of Law: The Community Advisory Board , the Capital Development Board, and the Community Service Advisory Board.

Aligned with FIU's status as an urban research university, promoting public service and cultural diversity, the College of Law plans to establish a Community Service Program that addresses the urban community of which it is a part. Students will be required to provide pro bono hours of service to agencies in need. The Community Service Program will begin in the third semester of study. The Office of Development will assist the College in the promotion and advancement of this program.
