Charles Jalloh Presents on The Law and Politics of the Charles Taylor Trial

On October 25, 2013, Charles C. Jalloh, Visiting Associate Professor of Law, presented an invited lecture “The Law and Politics of the Charles Taylor Case” at the University of Makeni, Faculty of Law, Sierra Leone, West Africa. He traced the legal and political implications of the trial involving the former president of Liberia, whose son, Chuckie Taylor, was the first person to ever be convicted in the United States under the US Torture Victim Protection Act by the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida in October 2008.
