CPPO Resource Library

The CPPO has an extensive resource library that you will have access to anytime during office hours. You may wish to put aside some time to simply browse the library and look for titles that interest you. Among the materials available are:

› Judicial Leadership Directory;

› The National Directory of Legal Employers, which includes information on more than l,400 employers nationwide;

› Articles and books describing various practice areas and what it takes to break into them;

› Various periodicals relevant to the legal profession, including Florida Trend, The National Law Journal, The Daily Business Review (covering Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County); and

› The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, one of the most valuable tools available to assist you in targeting employers specific to your background and/or interests. It is also available online at http://www.martindale.com

Additionally, there is one computer terminal with access to Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw and the internet, and a photo copier and fax machine available for employment search related purposes. Students are allowed to send up to five (5) faxes per day, of no more than five (5) pages each. To send a fax, simply complete the cover sheet and fax log available at the front desk.
