Associate
Dean Michelle D. Mason oversees the operations of the Admissions,
Career Services, Registrar and Students Services offices. Dean
Mason received her B.A. in English Literature in 1991 and Juris
Doctor Degree from Rutgers, The State University located in New
Jersey in 1995. As a law student, Dean Mason served as a representative
to the Student Bar Association, chaired the Hunter Moot Court
Program and was an active member of the Black Law Student Association.
After graduating from law school, she went to work for Phillips
Exeter Academy in New Hampshire as an Admissions Counselor and
Coordinator of Multicultural Recruitment. Prior to joining the
FIU College of Law, Mason worked as an Associate Director of
Admissions at Seton Hall Law School and Assistant Dean for Admissions
at Vermont Law School. Dean Mason has served on a number of committees
including the Disadvantaged Applicant Screening Committee, the
Academic Credentials Committee, and a regional committee on minority
concerns.
