
Application Process
The application process for all programs takes place once a year in February and decisions are made in March for the following academic year. Application forms are available online. Selection criteria include grades, faculty recommendations, essay and interview. Space in the program is limited.
Overview
ARGENTINA, Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentina, is a great metropolis with a population of almost thirteen million inhabitants, the eighth most populated urban center in the world.
Today Buenos Aires stands at the center of Mercosur. Based on Argentina´s long-standing cultural and trade tradition, this majestic city serves as the key connection between South America and globalization.
It is the center of the country’s cultural, economic, industrial, and political life. The population of the city proper is almost 2.8 million while the area known as Greater Buenos Aires is estimated to have a population of over 12 million.
The majority of the Argentines of the city are of Spanish or Italian descent. However, there are also significant communities of people of Arab, Jewish, Armenian, Anglo-Irish, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean descent. The Buenos Aires population also contains a minority of mixed Spanish-aboriginal heritage.
Buenos Aires is a diverse, multicultural center with a proud history, fascinating culture, and influential economy. Studying in this Argentine gem will provide you with excellent opportunities to immerse yourself in a new culture among people speaking a different language while exploring a complex, yet welcoming, city.
Credits
- FIU students may take a maximum of 15 credit hours at Universidad de Palermo. Such credits will count toward the award of the J.D. degree at FIU.
- With the prior written approval of the Associate Dean at FIU and the Director of the relevant program at Universidad de Palermo students may take fewer than 13 credits.
Fees
FIU students enrolled at Universidad de Palermo will pay tuition and all other fees directly to Universidad de Palermo.
Living Expenses
Housing expenses may vary depending on the living standards of each student and the type of housing they choose.

- Books and other learning materials, photocopies, etc.
- Internation travel, including visas and any other related costs
Medical insurance coverage for the full academic year (mandatory).
Language of Instruction
Courses are conducted in Spanish. Language proficiency will be tested.
