2012-13 FIU Law Review Editorial Board Officially Begins its Tenure

MIAMI – Florida International University College of Law congratulates the incoming 2012-13 FIU Law Review Editorial Board. Editorial board members include: Editor-in-Chief Courtney Walter, Managing Editor Cristina Neuman, Executive Symposium Editor Erin Auble, and Executive Comments Editor Jennifer Soberal.

The FIU Law Review is a student-run organization responsible for producing a journal of scholarly legal works.  As a symposium-based law review, their issues are composed of articles addressing a particular area of the law, with its authors often participating in a live symposium before publication.

“I congratulate the new board members of the Law Review and look forward to working with them in the year ahead,” said FIU Law Dean R. Alexander Acosta.

“Being selected as an Executive Board member for Law Review is an honor.  We are sure it will be a unique experience that will have a significant impact in our law careers.  We are very excited, and we look forward to giving our best to our FIU Law Review,” said Managing Editor Cristina Neuman.

The incoming board officially began its tenure on the last day of class, April 23rd. Since they were initiated into office, the board members have hit the ground running, attending a National Law Review Conference with Professor Christyno L. Hayes in Providence, Rhode Island. They also hosted the Law Review Farewell Dinner at Dean Acosta’s house, held an informational session for the full-time 1L and part-time 2L evening students, organized the write-on competition, and are currently preparing the release of the National Security issue.

The Editorial Board will decide on the number of new members to be chosen, taking into consideration both the quality of the completed examinations and the anticipated need. Results will be released on June 10th.
