MIAMI (October 18, 2011) – The FIU Law Investor Advocacy Clinic team wins top spot in first-ever appearance at national securities dispute resolution negotiation competition.
The Annual Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon sponsored by St. John’s Law School and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) was held at the Hugh L. Carey Center for Dispute Resolution in New York City.
MIAMI (October 10, 2011) – FIU Law will join President Obama and Attorney General Holder on Thursday, October 13 for a Champions of Change discussion. This national discussion will include students and faculty from law schools across the country and will focus on the important role of lawyers in securing basic rights for all Americans.

MIAMI (September 19, 2011) – The Florida Board of Bar Examiners has released the results of the July 2011 Bar Exam and FIU Law graduates have achieved the top bar passage rate among Florida’s eleven law schools. The FIU Law bar passage rate of 89.6 percent substantially exceeded the statewide average of 80.1 percent.

MIAMI (September 15, 2011) — FIU Law Professor Joelle Moreno will address the annual COJUMA meeting at United States Southern Command today. The COJUMA (Comite Juridico Militar de las Americas) is the American Military Legal Committee and includes military and civilian attorneys from the region.
Professor Moreno will discuss, “How Legitimate Evidentiary Principles and Practice Help to Establish and Maintain the Rule of Law” to an audience of Senior Military officials and civilian representatives from 21 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean
