This seminar will offer an opportunity to U.S. and Latin American arbitrators, practicing attorneys, corporate counsel, government officials, and academics, to discuss a broad range of issues currently at stake in the practice of investment arbitration.  The program features several sessions and a showcase debate on the key issues that arise in investment arbitration.  A number of well-known experts in the field of investment arbitration will be among the discussants and presenters at this seminar.  This event will be hosted at Florida International University College of Law and is co-organized by FIU’s Global Legal Studies Initiative and the Instituto Latinamericano de Arbitraje.

Professor Joelle Moreno will address the Annual Judicial Conference of the United States Court of Federal Claims on the Science and Law of Vaccine Injury Claims. The United States Court of Federal Claims will hold its 23rd Judicial Conference in Washington, DC on October 27, 2010.  The title of this year’s conference is “Jurisdiction and Appellate Review:  Emerging Law” and the schedule includes several panels moderated by the judges of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
